Buddha Eyes or Wisdom Eyes are often found painted on the Stupas of Tibetan Buddhism, this symbol represents the all seeing eyes of the Buddha, a symbol of the omnipresent compassion of the Bodhisattvas. The small dot depicted between the eyes represents the third eye, a symbol of spiritual awakening. Compassion - Tibetan Calligraphy by His Holiness The 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje
C O M P A S S I O N
Compassion is the very essence of a spiritual life, and the main practice of those who have devoted their lives to attaining enlightenment. It is the root of the Three Jewels – Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. It is the root of Buddha because all Buddhas are born from compassion. It is the root of Dharma because Buddhas give Dharma teachings motivated solely by compassion for others. It is the root of Sangha, because it is by listening to and practising Dharma teachings given out of compassion that we become Sangha, or Superior beings.

"We need to let the heart lead. Compassion is indispensable; it is the single most important factor we need if we are going to have any real success in protecting the environment, in creating a just society, or simply in living wholesome, happy lives."

OM MANI PADME HUM
Mantra of Compassion
According to Tibetan culture, it is said that all the teachings of Buddha are contained in the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, and that to know the phrase is to know enlightenment. Supposedly, contained in this verse is the truth of the nature of suffering and how to remove its root cause.
HUNG
The Heart Essence Syllable
Hung means indivisibility, or something which cannot be torn apart. It holds both wisdom and method and this cannot be broken or divided. It is a reminder that each one of us has purity within us, we just have to go through the paths to enlightenment to uncover it and erase all impurities from ourselves.

"OM is like the sun, but HUM is like the soil, into which the sun's rays must descend in order to awaken the dormant life."
Lama Anagarika Govinda
